Testimonials

“After completing my first session of Fascial Stretch Therapy I felt so light on my feet.  I have never felt so much tension release from my body!”-D.L.

“While pregnant with my twins, Heather took care with keeping me on my feet and pain free.  She saved my back, my sanity and the holidays!  I would recommend her to every “mom” looking to stay on her feet during pregnancy and post-partum.”-T.C.

“Months after giving birth, it was difficult for me to go from a sitting or lying position up to a full standing position without feeling that I had to remain hunched over until a bit of time had passed to get fully upright.  However, after taking Heather’s course, I learned exercises to get my body back to normal.  She also showed me correct ways to lift and carry my son as well as put him in/take him out of the carseat and stroller.  This class was really beneficial and Heather is a wonderful teacher who made me feel very comfortable.”-A.M.

“My husband and I were married for 5 years and unable to have intercourse, but I never knew why.  After numerous awful experiences at doctor’s offices (where many doctors told me I “just needed to relax”), a surgery that didn’t fix the problem, and a year of owning dilators that didn’t get me anywhere, someone finally referred me to Heather for Physical Therapy.  I finally had answers and information from someone who knew exactly what I was dealing with!  I had Vaginismus.  I was scared to go to a therapist at first, but as soon as I met Heather she put me at ease.  She was easy to talk to and the sessions seems to fly by, even though I was there an hour.  She explained everything very clearly and truly cared about my progress.  In 3 and a half months we finally consummated our marriage and are now frequently enjoying the wonderful intimacy we were missing out on!  I couldn’t have done it without her!”-M.M.

“My last appointment with Heather was over 6 years ago but I still think of her every day.  I don’t take for granted that I can easily get out of bed, care for my two active and busy young boys, run, play tennis, clean my house, or sit at a desk for several hours at a time. None of these tasks were easy for me before meeting Heather.  Eight years ago my car was struck from behind by a tractor trailer that was estimated to have been speeding.  I spent 3 years working with different PTs and Drs trying to heal and move on with my life.  When I became pregnant and the hormone relaxin that “relaxes” all the joints of the body and the additional weight gain erased all my progress and I was suddenly in a lot of pain again.  My OB sent me to Heather for one last try. In my FIRST visit with Heather she immediately diagnosed my problem and showed me how to correct it.  I couldn’t believe it- I immediately started feeling better.  She was the youngest health professional I had seen, I had even met with the experienced PT that she was trained by and no one else did this for me.  Heather took the time to ask the right questions, she REALLY listened to how I was experiencing pain and how it impacted my every day activities.  Heather helped me throughout the remainder of my pregnancy and through the postpartum period.  When she moved away and I became pregnant a second time 3 years later I used all the worksheets she gave me and then I met with her colleague that she transitioned me to.  To say Heather changed my life would be an understatement.  My husband and my mother ask about her and her growing family all the time because she will forever be part of our hearts.  I never needed medicine or all the expensive tests (MRIs, X-rays) that orthopedic doctors had put me through. Heather is a tremendous PT for anyone experiencing pain but her knowledge of how pregnancy can impact the body and especially pre-existing injuries is unparalleled.   I feel that Heather’s work to get my pain manageable during pregnancy helped me prepare for a natural childbirth. Women need more PT’s like her!”-J.H.

“As someone who suffered the debilitating physical and emotional effects of vaginismus (as well as a complicated history of back injuries) for more than 15 years, I thought a “normal” life was just a fantasy.  Then I found Heather.  Knowledgeable, professional, compassionate, and incredibly supportive, she advocated for me - not the ridiculous idea of “learning to live with pain” - and tailored her research-supported treatment program to fit my needs and goals.  I noticed a difference after my first session; and just one year later, I’m stronger than ever, planning a pregnancy, and even thinking about getting back on skis.
Heather did what fitness programs, medical doctors, chiropractors, and even surgery couldn’t - she gave me real answers, real hope, and real results.  Her card says Physical Therapist - but as far as I’m concerned, she’s a miracle worker.”-S.B.
